The Kiahuna Golf Club is another great course designed by world-renowned golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Located in Poipu, Kiahuna offers 18-holes with a par 70 and 6,925 yards of play. The lush course is surrounded by Kauai’s natural beauty and weaves through ancient ruins all the way to the final hole. For example, to the left of the fifteenth fairway you’ll see the remains of a house that was inhabited by a Portuguese immigrant in the early 19th century.
Hawaii’s natural beauty and wildlife are on royal display at Kiahuna! There is a small outcrop of lava tubes to the left of the second fairway. The Club also provides a sanctuary for many of Kauai’s endangered species, including the Nene, the official bird of the State of Hawaii. As you play your round, keep an eye out and see interesting wildlife including the Hawaiian Stilt, the Black-Crowned Night Heron, and the shy Moorhen along the Waikomo Stream!
